At PAINSHILL PARK …..
The Painshill Park outing on the 28th July went very well indeed…….
Members/guests drove and met up at the Park where the visit began with a stimulating presentation on its history and features by one of their expert volunteers.
This award-winning 18th C landscape garden was originally designed and constructed in the mid-1770s with a landscape that was unique in Europe and the Americas, and influenced subsequent park designs in these countries. It has a 158-acre landscape of hills and valleys with a serpentine lake, and buildings and features of an exotic and rustic style.
After exploring the Park drinks and snacks were available and a range of souvenirs. It was agreed that it was a pleasurable visit and look forward to another Probus outing in the near future.
